The Position:
The Resident Assistant (Inventory) plays a key role in a client’s health recovery by ensuring medical respite homes are stocked with food supplies for our guests. The Resident Assistant (Inventory) is responsible for:
- Demonstrating excellent customer service consistent with the standards contained in the Vision, Mission, and Values of the organization.
- Maintain excellent donor and community relationships through the pick-up and transportation of food and/or other site specific donations.
- Responsible for food shopping at food banks and other locations as assigned to garner supplies for residential programs.
- Maintain programs inventory and ensure homes are stocked with various food and supplies; provide accurate record keeping of inventory.
- Ensure the pantry shelves and supply room are kept clean and organized.
Compensation:
Starting from $17.00 hourly up to $20.00, dependent on experience.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of homelessness and the issues associated with it; mental health and substance abuse issues.
- Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent people and customer service skills.
- Possess personal qualities of integrity, patience and commitment to mission.
- Flexible and able to multitask; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
Required Education and Experience:
- Valid Hawaii Driver’s License and clean traffic abstract.
- One year of driving and customer service related experience working with disenfranchised or medically fragile population.
- Basic computer skills; able to navigate google email, Microsoft applications and databases.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Regular Full-time. Hours may include some evenings, weekends and holidays. Hours and days may vary based on the needs of the organization. Generally available during normal business hours to ensure the needs of the operations are met.
